A new stage work spawning from an account of starfish wasting disease – a sporadic, partially climate-linked syndrome causing high mortality that remains still a poorly understood marine phenomenon. Playing with scientific observational language and distinguishing sensorial choreography as a body-navigation-strategy the work becomes elaborated through observation in the multitude: a large casted net, an ensemble of fleeting images, snatched-sounds score, wet trousers up-to-the-knees, yellow oxide colored puddles, booby-traps and other solipsistic translations eroding rather than sustaining or shaping us. Assembled as an unstable ecology thinking through the dilemma where deletion imitates the romance of disappearance — The Wasting, ph.1 eroticizes both material and metaphorical accounts.
