OH, MARY SHELLEY

Silvia Marchig / Kik Melone
performance

Oh, Mary Shelley  is a dance performance, as well as a contradictory performative experiment and artistic exploration of the illusion of the wholeness of the human body and identity.

Stimulated by our own experience of physicality as a fluid category, bodies that are constantly changing, that are seemingly singular, whole and healthy (or not), we enter the exploration of this condition and distinctness of the human body. We search for choreographic language that affirms our paradoxical existence and vulnerability: marvellous in our complexity and sensibility, capable of overflowing over all our edges and membranes.

In the performance there are quotes from the novel “Flights” by Olga Tokarczuk and “Poor Things” by Alasdair Gray, music, breath and movement by Ana Kovačić, performative lucidity and pre-cognitive sounds from the gut voices by Ivana Bojanić and Ana Kreitmeyer, vision of the form and body by Tea Kantoci, space by Niko Mihaljević and light and dark by Lana Nežmah, equipped by visual extravaganza of Sindri Uču, and all this on invitation to the joint adventure and farewell to reason by Silvia Marchig, in the Gorgona hall.
