I – BODY COLLEGIUM: ACCESSIBILITY IN PRODUCTION

Accesibility in production is a topic within online – live conversation between producer Nadja Dias, dancer and moderator of the conversation Marina Brajdić and the audience. The conversation is based within Nadja’s work in the field of Access in producing practice, cultural work and mentoring in the past 20 years. We have a collective conversation on how the performing art generates a work environment, working terms and condition, artistic process that involves aesthetic values, inclusivity of everybody into an art and structure itself. How could these questions be affected through producing practice? With a goal to think through this topic together, as artists, producers, person with disability or interested persons, we will talk on September 23 at 18h, at MSU or on zoom via link:

The conversation will be translated to Croatian and Croatian Sign Language and will include audio description. Duration will be 90 min.

Nadja Dias is an Executive Producer, Artistic Associate, Consultant and Coach with over 20 years of experience working across contemporary dance, performance and the cultural sector.
She collaborates with artists and organisations on artistic and strategic development, producing, accessibility and sustainable working practices. As a consultant and coach, she works with organisations and individual artists on accessible strategic development and transformation, supporting processes of organisational change as well as the development of more inclusive artistic and working practices.
Nadja is Executive Producer for Claire Cunningham Projects and Artistic Associate / Executive Producer at HZT Berlin, where she co-leads the Einstein Professorship for ‘Choreography, Dance & Disability Arts’ with Claire Cunningham. Her ongoing practice explores Accessible Producing Practice and Aesthetics of Access. She also teaches and facilitates workshops on producing, access and the conditions that enable artists and artistic practices to develop.

Marina Brajdić is an alumni at the Department of Dance – teaching strand, at the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb. During her studies she went on a student exchange program at University of Arts in Berlin (HZT) where she started collaboration with colleagues from the Department of visual communication and the Department of composition. Collaboration continued on distance in the form of dance film.
During her studies, Marina met and worked with many choreographers involving David Hernandez, Nikolina Pristaš, Sanna Myllylahti, Anja Bornšek, Sheena McGrandles, Marjana Krajač, Sonja Pregrad, Milan Tomašik and Andreja Podrzdravnik through whose work she met various dance languages, techniques, practices and ideas.
Marina developed her work through meditative artistic practices in relation to environment, creative dance, body mind relation and improvisation. She is a member of somatic and research platform SomaHut and inclusive dance collective Divert. Marina teaches dance, lives and works in Zagreb and Slunj.
