“Exhausted souls in disciplined bodies, inhabiting exhausted worlds.”
Growing a Mane explores themes of effort, futility, and abandon. Finding herself in life’s relentless race, the performer questions the compulsion to “keep up” and keep going. What would it mean to truly give up? Could this liminal space between striving and surrender allow alternative temporalities to arise? Through movement, text and sound the project aims to create an atmosphere of personal reflection and collective catharsis.
